Inspiration Strikes
I found this interesting new material in Winter 2019, while browsing my neighborhood gift shop in LA. Its popularity has boomed in the past two years, now widely known as Terrazzo and Jesmonite. In Spring 2020, I was inspired to create a series of vases in Solidworks and Keyshot.
Ideation
I sketched some shapes for inspiration before deciding on my final three forms, the most simple geometric forms possible in a crystal clear glass juxtaposed with the chaotic and colorful terrazzo material made the perfect match.
